MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are investigating an overnight shooting in South Memphis Thursday.

A little after 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of Willie Mitchell Boulevard.

A man was found and taken to Regional One in non-critical condition.

A neighbor told us she was sleeping when she heard several gunshots.

“It was like twelve to fifteen shots going off and I just stretched out and I didn’t move,” she said.

Bullet holes could be seen in three nearby cars and all around the victim’s home. We asked the neighbor if she could tell us anything about the house where the shooting occurred.

“Several people stay there. It’s like a rooming house,” she said.

This is an ongoing investigation, police say.
