MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Heavy rainfall is now moving into north Mississippi Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

NWS says one to two inches per hour of rainfall is expected and could increase with the possibility of flooding.

Unsettled weather will continue across the Mid-South bringing more rain along with breezy and cooler conditions during the night. Lows will get to the mid-50s.

There will be 2 more days of wet weather before conditions will begin to improve. The rain will end with a gradual clearing on Thursday afternoon with gusting winds.

Clear skies will return Friday and throughout the weekend.
