MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Severe thunderstorms could roll through the Mid-South Tuesday afternoon.
We’re turning breezy this evening and overnight as clouds continue to increase. Aside from a stray shower or two, we’ll be dry through the morning hours of Tuesday. Expect morning lows in the lower to mid 50s.
Storms will be moving across eastern Arkansas and across the Mississippi River as early as lunchtime Tuesday, and there will be off and on rain/storms lasting through late afternoon/early evening. There is a low end severe threat, primarily for damaging winds. It should be noted however that we will be very windy even without the storms. Some wind gusts could approach 50 mph at times. It’ll be a good idea to secure any loose items around your home. Spotty power outages will be possible as well.
