Shelby County crash kills 1; injures 3 adults, 1 child

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A crash in southeast Shelby County has killed one person and left three adults and one child hospitalized.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash on Shelby Drive and Germantown Road just before 5 p.m. Friday. The sheriff’s office says six vehicles were involved in the crash.


One person was pronounced dead on the scene. The sheriff’s office says three adults went to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

A child was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

The sheriff’s office says that Shelby Drive is closed in both directions as deputies investigate the crash.
