MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person is dead after a shooting at the Hilldale Apartment complex in Raleigh Tuesday afternoon.

Lardarius Gordon, 27, was arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree murder.

Memphis police responded to a shooting in the 3500 block of Westline Drive, July 5 at the Hilldale Apartments.

Officers found victim Tremaine Wilburn outside with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and upper chest area according to a police report.

Wilburn was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness told authorities that Gordon and Wilburn were roommates and had begun to fight over Wilburn locking a door in their home.

Gordon pulled a pistol with an extended magazine a began to shoot Wilburn. Gordon stood over Wilburn and continued to fire more shots into Wilburn a witness said.

Gordon’s bond is set at $500,000.
