MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was injured in a shooting in North Memphis early Friday morning, according to the Memphis Police Department.
Officers were called to a shooting at the Thomas Street and Marble Avenue intersection a little after 4 a.m. A man was found on the scene and taken to Regional One in non-critical condition.
The victim reportedly told police that prior to the shooting, he was talking with his former high school friend on Facebook Messenger. The friend asked the victim to meet at a location in the 700 block of Woodlawn Street.
Police say that when the victim was driving on Woodlawn, he was shot at. He then drove away, attempting to get himself to a hospital, but he stopped his car at Thomas Street and Marble Avenue.
Reports say the back and right rear windows of the victim’s car had been shot out.
At this time, no arrests have been made.
