MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police say a disagreement led to a shootout with a security guard before midnight Sunday night near Clicks Billiards, in a shopping center just off Winchester in Hickory Hill.

One person was grazed by a bullet but refused medical treatment, police said. That person is expected to be okay. It is still unknow if that person were in any way involved in the shooting or if they were an innocent bystander.

Some of the shots appear to have damaged the pool hall with shattered glass in the parking lot and bullet holes in the front windows.

According to preliminary information from a Memphis Police investigation, it started with a disagreement before several patrons were asked to leave the property by security. Police said shots were fired at the security guards, and the guards and several patrons returned fire. The suspects got away.

Officers set up a perimeter and investigators were seen going in and out of the building for hours. They blocked off the entrance while they interviewed witnesses.

A manager at the business would not comment on the incident.

This isn’t the first time officers have been out to this shopping center for crime. In December, a man was shot and killed inside a car. The suspect in that crime got away from the scene. In February, police shared a picture of the suspect taken from a security camera.

So far, no arrests have been made in that crime either.
