Ammunition stolen from Northeast Memphis gun store

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis officers are looking for three people who they say stole boxes of ammunition from a gun store in Northeast Memphis.

Police said the suspects stole boxes of 9mm ammunition on Feb. 10 from Shoot Point Blank Memphis on the 1700 block of Century Center Cove.

Video surveillance shows the suspects taking the stolen ammunition and placing it in their hoodies and pants.

The suspects fled the scene in a dark colored Infiniti with a temporary tag, according to police.

Doug Read, who has membership at the gun range, said crime is getting out of hand.

“I talked to the guy that was here and he said one of the guys came up and was talking to him about renting guns and stuff which distracted him and he didn’t see the other guys,” he said. “I thought it was pretty gutsy because everyone in there carries loaded guns.”
