MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three juveniles were arrested for a homicide that left a 15-year-old dead and a 16-year-old injured from gunfire, according to the U.S. Marshals.

The shooting happened on March 4 on Beale Street and Riverside Drive. Rodriques “Little Rocky” Minor was later identified as the 15-year-old killed in the shooting.
For the last three weeks, Jeremicia Vance, Rocky’s mother, has been carrying around a feeling of guilt, pain, which were the emotions that all came out Saturday after learning of an arrest in her son’s case.
“I feel like that I failed him because I couldn’t be there to protect him, and that’s all I ever was trying to do,” she said.
MPD said the shooting stemmed from a fight.
In honor of Little Rocky, a peace rally was held this morning on the behalf of his family and Memphis Shelby Police Activities League where dozens walked the streets of Frayser calling for the end to the violence. Memphis PAL director Craig Littles said it takes working together to stop the gun violence.
“Gun violence affects everyone, and it’s very important that we work together to work on this issue,” he said. “Guns don’t have a name, they don’t have a name at all, bullets don’t have a name. It’s all us working together.”
Two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old were arrested in connection with the shooting. The three juveniles also had warrants for reckless homicide, deploying a firearm in commission of a dangerous felony, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
One teen was arrested on the 2500 block of Davey Drive, the second teen was arrested on the 2000 block of Nedra and the third was arrested near the 2000 block of Joe Brooks Drive.
The juveniles’ names will not be released due to their ages.
