MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Tennesseans can expect some savings on their next set of stickers for car tags.

Starting in July, the state is dropping its portion of the renewal fee which will save drivers almost $24.

The temporary relief will last until June of 2023.

Lawmakers put it in the new state budget after the $3-billion surplus.

The move will cost the state about $121 million.
