MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman who stopped to help relatives involved in a crash along Getwell last week said she was assaulted by a woman with a gun.
The victim, who is still terrified by what happened, wanted to remain anonymous. She said she and her husband pulled over in the 1200 block of Getwell to make sure everyone was okay.
She said her two relatives, who are minors, were involved in a wreck with the driver of a four-door blue car. She said when she saw the male driver and his girlfriend were getting aggressive with the teens, she pulled out her cell phone and began recording.

The victim said that’s when the girlfriend, dressed in pink, came toward her, and punched her in the face with a closed fist.
MPD released pictures of the woman in the pink shirt and said she is facing a charge of aggravated assault. She is not in custody.
“In this video, you can see how the man was handling of the minors’ car very aggressively, and they got inside their car because it was raining very hard,” said the woman.
The victim said the man also tried to hit her husband, but her husband was able to jump into their vehicle. She said that’s when the couple involved in the accident fled the scene and fired six to seven shots toward them.

No one was hurt, but the woman said one bullet hit their tire.
Officers canvassed the area but could not locate shell casings. Police said the car involved in the crash and shooting has damage to the front passenger side.
