MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Neighbors in Cooper-Young are trying to identify a woman who they say was caught on doorbell cameras stealing their packages off their porches. 

In several videos, the same woman calmly approaches people’s homes and takes packages off of their porches. She appears in videos from five different houses.

Diana Gilbert, a resident in the area, had just ordered a pair of shoes worth more than $100.

“I did have packages on my porch last week that Amazon — I didn’t know — had dropped off late at night. I went to work the next day not knowing because I go out my side door. I had someone come by and put them over by my side door so that they couldn’t be seen,” Gilbert said.

Luckily she did. 

In each video, the suspect walks calmly to the door, takes the packages, and walks calmly back. 

Video footage also showed the gray sedan she was driving, as well as her face.

Neighbors tell us this has been going on for weeks. They are fed up and want to bring awareness to the issues to hopefully stop the bold act. 

“She’s just taking people’s stuff. She doesn’t even know these people. It’s hateful. She needs a hobby, a different hobby,” said neighbor Erica Bodine.
