MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police say a woman is dead and two others including a toddler injured after a shooting and crash in Orange Mound.

Memphis Police responded to the scene at Pendleton Street and Park Avenue at 8:16 p.m. Sunday.

A 54-year-old woman went to Regional One Hospital in critical condition, but she was later pronounced dead.

A 2-year-old boy was injured in the shooting and taken to Le Bonheur with non-critical injuries, and a 25-year-old woman was injured in the crash. An eight-year-old boy and seven-month-old girl were uninjured, police said.

After the shooting, the car left the road and hit a pole.

Police say the suspects were driving a white sedan. According to police, the woman was shot stopped at a red light when the suspects started firing shots.

Police had traffic blocked in all directions near the intersection of Pendleton and Park.

A source familiar with the case says the woman killed, was a grandmother and the attack is said to have happened with her grandchildren looking on.
