MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A shooting in Frayser sent a woman to the hospital fighting for her life Monday night.
Memphis police were originally called out to the area of West I-40 and Danny Thomas but later learned the shooting happened on North Watkins at a BP gas station.
The woman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
She did not survive her injuries, police say.
A witness who lives in an apartment complex next to the gas station says he heard about three gunshots. Shortly after, he says he saw several cop cars in the parking lot.
Police have not said what led to the shooting. However, they say the suspect was a man wearing all-black clothing armed with a handgun.
No arrests have been made as this is an ongoing investigation.
