MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One local girl’s room got a makeover thanks to Make-A-Wish and Jewelers for Children.
Arckasier loves purple, and now she has a lot of it in her new room. Two volunteers from Make-A-Wish, a nonprofit organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions, decorated the room with new furniture, bedding and decorations.
Make-A-Wish Mid-South, located in Memphis, granted 242 wishes last year. The average cost of a wish is more than $8,000.
Jewelers for Children, which sponsored Arckasier’s wish to have a room redo, partnered with Make-A-Wish to help make kids’ dreams come true.
