MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Wishes do come true! Throwing out the first pitch Sunday night at the Memphis Redbirds game was local Wish kid Zach. Make-A-Wish grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. But Zach’s wish will take him beyond just AutoZone Park. With the boy surrounded by family and Redbirds fans, the team announced on the Jumbotron his wish had been granted. Zach will travel to New York City to see his favorite team, the New York Yankees, play ball. He’ll also get to meet the players.
