MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Keatron Walls is accused of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend and threatening to kill her and her family in the 4500 block of Airways Boulevard, police say.
One Memphis family who fears to be identified tell us they’re fed up and fearful of what may happen to one of their own.
“He’s going to kill her, and they need to stop him. They have to stop him,” a family member said.
According to the affidavit, Keatron Walls approached his ex-girlfriend in the parking lot of her home in the 4500 block of Airways Boulevard and forced her inside.
He held a gun to her head as her current boyfriend and 5-year-old daughter were also in the apartment.
“My cousin — she is scared to death and anybody would be. She was crying one day and said she feared for her life,” a family member said.
Walls then demanded they drive him around before taking him back to where they started.
The affidavit states Walls hit the victim and her boyfriend in the head with a handgun and also fired two to three shots to the ground while threatening to kill them and himself.
“This is not the first time he’s done this. They’re not taking him serious,” another family member said.
The victim’s family tells WREG Walls has done other frightening things several times before.
In 2016, one day before Thanksgiving, our crews were on the scene after four of the victim’s family members were shot in the legs and stomach.
One man’s leg had to be amputated.
The family says the suspect opened fire outside of the home window.
He faced several charges.
“They say history repeats itself. Can’t the judge and the lawyer see that? The D.A.? The prosecutor? If anything happens they go home to their family, but what about her family?” a family member asked.
WREG reached out to the victim and she declined to comment in fear for her safety.
