MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 40-year-old man was arrested Monday for the attempted kidnapping of a girl on November 10.
David Christian is accused of following the girl as she walked to school and telling her he would “snatch her *** up” after she told him to leave her alone.
He then drove past her and parked his truck, got out, and asked the girl if she had a boyfriend, then told her to get in his truck or he would take her.
The girl ran to school and told her teacher what happened, and was able to provide the truck’s license plate number to the security officer.
The tag matched a truck belonging to Christian, who was included in a photo line-up shown to the girl. She identified him as the man who tried to kidnap her.
Christian’s bond is set at $1,000. He’s scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning.
