MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly damaging an apartment that would cost $1,500 in repairs.

Montravious Neal, 18, was identified as one of the suspects in the apartment. He has been charged with burglary, criminal trespass, and felony vandalism worth $1,000 to $2,500.

On Feb. 26, the property manager of Tillman Cove Apartments in the block of 3000 Binghampton Cove reported that five to six suspects were inside an apartment and fled by jumping off the balcony as she entered on Wednesday.

According to reports, the apartment had trash bags all over the floor, and the kitchen cabinet doors had been damaged. There was food wiped all over the walls, and the bedroom door had been ripped from the hinges.

She said that if she saw them again, she could identify the suspects. She later identified Neal as one of the suspects.

She said that she observed three of the same suspects outside of the apartments in the stairwell of the complex. Officers made the scene and detained three male suspects.

Neal said he was inside the apartment, taking pictures. He advised that he and the other suspects had done this several times.

His bond has not been set. He will appear in court on Monday.
