MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A Memphis man is behind bars after police say he hit his daughter-in-law with his car, knocking her on top of her son.
Police say, Tiffany Smith and her son, began walking down the street to the store when her father-in-law, 47-year-old Kevin Smith and her husband Samuel Smith started to follow her.
Tiffany’s told police that she refused to give her husband and father-in-law their child when Kevin drove up, her husband asked for their child.
She also told police Kevin jerked the car in her direction, hitting her and knocking her on top of her 8-year-old son.
Both Tiffany and her son suffered minor injuries.
Kevin Smith was arrested charged with two counts of aggravated assault and will be in court on Monday.
