Man arrested for making, distributing child porn

Andrew Galbreath

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man is behind bars for crimes against children.

Investigators started working on the case in July.

The Memphis Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force learned Andrew Galbreath, 39, was involved in distributing child sexual exploitation material, according to the affidavit.

Along with the tip, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children showed MPD a pornographic image involving a child around 3 to 5 years old. Another tip pointed MPD to an “image of lascivious exhibition” involving a 5-year-old girl.

Police said they executed a search warrant at Galbreath’s home in the 4600 block of Violet Avenue and found evidence against him.

Galbreath admitted to possessing, distributing and producing child exploitation material, police said.

He was arrested Friday and charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor.

He has a $50,000 bond.
