MEMPHIS, Tenn. —  The drunk driver who was arrested for slamming into a parked car with his daughter in the back seat appeared in court on Monday.

Twenty-seven-year-old Eric Garcia paid his $3,500 bond and was released after appearing before the judge.

According to reports, officers received an accident call in the 4200 block of Elliston Road.

When they arrived, they found Garcia had swerved off the road and hit a parked car in one family’s driveway.

As they tried to question him, investigators said Garcia was leaning on his vehicle for support and smelled of alcohol.

In the back of the vehicle, officers found a box of Corona and his 3-year-old daughter.

Medical professionals checked the child at the scene and told police she had not been injured during the crash.

She was later picked up by her mother while her father was placed under arrest.

Garcia was charged with DUI- child endangerment, reckless driving, public intoxication, refusal to submit to BAC test, and driving while license suspended/revoked/cancelled.

No word yet on when he will be back in court.
