(Memphis) The man convicted on vehicular homicide charges in the 2011 death of a Cordova man is now facing new charges in an unrelated case.
20-year-old Samer Sakaan was arrested Friday on theft charges. According to a police affidavit, Sakaan is accused of stealing a friend’s laptop back in November.
Sakaan is scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning and is out of jail after paying $6,000 bond.
Sakaan is currently on probation for his 2012 conviction on vehicular homicide charges in the 2011 death of William Marshall.
Marshall was standing in his driveway on Walnut Bend Road when he was struck by Sakaan’s car — after Sakaan lost control while passing another car in a curve.
