MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was stabbed during an argument outside a Midtown bar shortly after midnight Sunday.

Police said two men had been fighting inside Young Avenue Deli in Cooper-Young. They found one of the men stabbed outside the restaurant.

A witness, who only spoke with us briefly, says several men were inside when they began arguing over a pool table.

They ended up outside on the patio, some people say they were escorted out.

That’s when a fist fight turned life threatening.

One of the men allegedly took out a knife, stabbing the other man in the chest.

Police say the victim was taken to Regional One in critical condition.

Neighbors said the victim was being ejected from the bar when the other man stabbed him in the chest.

No arrests have been made, but police indicate they do know who the suspect is.
