MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was indicted on multiple charges Tuesday after he was accused of beating his girlfriend then luring a man to the apartment to kill him.

Antoine Hinton, 29, was indicted for first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault and employing a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony.

The crime happened August 16 in the 600 block of Patterson Street near the University of Memphis.

Hinton’s girlfriend told police in August he beat her and then used her phone to lure Jeremy Lampkin, 25, to her apartment. When Lampkin arrived, police said Hinton shot and killed him.
