MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was shot during an armed robbery at a pharmacy in East Memphis on Tuesday morning, police said.
It happened at the Medicine Shoppe in the 900 block of Estate Drive near Poplar. Two men are accused of robbing the business at gunpoint at about 9:30.
According to police, the suspects took a large quantity of prescription medication and fled the scene. During the robbery, shots were fired between an employee and one of the suspects. The employee was struck in the leg and transported to Regional One in non-critical condition.
No arrests have been made at this point. Video of the suspects is below.
