MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men were taken to the hospital following an overnight shooting near Highway 385 and Ridgeway.
Minutes after midnight, officers discovered a pickup truck near the ramp at Highway 385 and Ridgeway with its window shattered. The 50-year-old driver was found walking up and down the sidewalk looking for his passenger who had also been shot and ran from the scene.
That man told police the pair were sitting at a stop light when he heard several shots. He tried to get away, but spun out due to the heavy rain.
Fearing for his safety, the passenger jumped from the vehicle and headed to a nearby Checkers to get help.
During the investigation, a witness came forward with information. He told authorities it all started when a black Dodge Magnum with tinted windows began following him and the truck. The driver flashed his lights multiple times before pulling up next to the truck, jumping out of the vehicle and firing shots at the men inside.
The witness said he fled the scene when the suspect turned towards him. He later came back, picked up the injured passenger and took him to the hospital for treatment.

The suspect in the latest incident has not been arrested. He was described as a black male with dreadlocks. If you know anything about this incident, call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
