MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for downloading child pornography at a local Best Buy.
According to reports, 51-year-old John Nesler used two Asus tablets and a Samsung Galaxy tablet which were on display at the Poplar Avenue store to download the images.
He then took pictures of them with his cell phone.
He was eventually caught in September 2012 when a store employee saw what was going on and called the police.
A review of Nesler’s cell phone revealed he had taken 114 pictures of female minors in just seven days.
Also, the tablets had numerous searches related to child pornography.
Nesler was convicted back in 2007 for the same thing and was sentenced to five years imprisonment and ten years supervised release.
He was still on probation for that crime at the time of the Best Buy incident.
On Thursday, a judge sentenced him to 10 years behind bars and supervised release for the rest of his life.
