MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police are trying to find the person who shot and killed a teenager at the Frayser Elementary School playground.

Police responded to a shooting call in the 1600 block of Dellwood Avenue at about 6:45 p.m. Friday.

Kerr-Dulea Neil, 17, died at a Memphis hospital late Friday night.

Saturday, his sister Jakeena told us, “I been crying all day. But I mean it’s just going to get worser.”

Police said there were children in the area when the shooting happened.

Neil had been shot in the leg earlier this year.

Family members are not sure if he was targeted this time.

The teen’s grandmother told us he was mixed up in life on the streets.

She said he was a victim of his environment.

Loved ones say he didn’t deserve to die and they call for his killer to surrender.

“Whoever did it, I mean they need to pay for what they did, because they hurt my grandma. It hurt me. It took a part of us, all of us.”
