MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was shot and killed at a Raleigh shopping center on Sunday morning.

The shooting happened shortly after 11 a.m. outside a shopping center in the 3800 block of Austin Peay Highway.

According to police, one man was shot and taken to the hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries.

The parking lot for the Goodwill as well as the nearby Dollar Tree and Kroger were taped off as police investigated the scene.

At one point, investigators examined a white van full of bullet holes as well as a dark SUV with shattered windows. At least 12 evidence markers could be seen.

Police say that this is an ongoing homicide investigation. They have not released the name of the victim.

Police are looking for two possible suspects.

Neighbors near the shopping center said they are getting used to hearing gunfire.

Gail Blarton, who lives nearby, said crime in the area has gotten so bad she thinks she may have to move away.

“It has just gone straight downhill. It’s just awful out here. I mean, we can’t let our grandkids go outside,” she said. “You shouldn’t have to leave your home that you’ve paid for and you’ve worked for and you love, but you know, I think we’re gonna have to.”
