MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was shot and killed late Saturday night near an airport area hotel.

Memphis Police said officers responded to the shooting shortly after 11 p.m. in the 3600 block of American Way. When officers arrived, they located a man with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police identified the victim Monday as 29-year-old Rodrecus Partee.

Two people were arrested and charged in his death, police said Monday.

Jamal Medlock, 21, was charged with 1st degree murder and 1st degree murder in perpetration of a robbery. Jer’Miracle Walton, 21, was charged with Facilitation of 1st-degree murder.
