(Memphis) A man Memphis Police want to speak with regarding the attempted kidnapping of a 71-year-old woman has turned himself in.
The man’s name has not been released and no charges have been filed.
The woman was putting items in her car at the Mendenhall Commons Shopping Center Tuesday afternoon when she says a man asked for a ride to Nashville.
The woman said when she told the man she couldn’t give him a ride he said, “Get in the car, I have a gun.”
The woman ran one way, and the suspect another.
A witness saw the man run and followed him to the corner of Poplar and Colonial where the witness took a picture of the man.
