MEMPHIS, Tenn. — While the University of the Ozarks soccer team was playing at Rhodes College on Sept. 5, its bus was burglarized, and police are now asking for the public’s help in nabbing the man who did it.
The bus driver said he parked the bus at Lyndale Avenue and University Street at about noon that day, and when he returned at about 4:30 p.m., he saw that the door’s lock was damaged.
Seventeen people reported stolen items, including debit and credit cards that were then used at different locations throughout the city, police said.
Video surveillance caught footage of the suspect attempting to make a purchase with the cards.
Police described the suspect as a 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 black male between the ages of 25 and 30 who weighs about 180 to 200 pounds. He was wearing a light-colored shirt, possibly with red stripes, blue jeans and white shoes. He was driving a dark-colored extended-cab Ford F150 pickup truck that had light-colored trim and a bug deflector on the hood.
Police have not made any arrests yet in this case.
