Mandatory evacuation order issued for parts of Dyer County

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The immediate, mandatory evacuation of residents of multiple Dyer County residents has been ordered, per Dyer County Mayor David Quick.

In a Facebook post made on Monday by Dyer County 911 Communications, it was announced that due to the imminent threat of flooding, all residents from the East side of Highway 78, including the community of Cocklebur and surrounding communities in Bogota, Tennessee.


According to the 2020 census, the population of Bogota is 89.
