DESOTO COUNTY, Miss. — After evading capture for several hours a wanted man is now behind bars.
According to the Desoto County Sheriff’s Department, Justin Allan Jones was captured Thursday evening just south of Hernando. He was spotted riding a possibly stolen ATV.
The manhunt for Jones began Wednesday night after he was spotted in Hernando by police. He was able to escape when officers tried to stop him. Several hours later he was spotted again but this time at the rest area on Interstate 55.
Again, authorities said he was able to escape capture.
He was finally taken into custody around 5 p.m. Thursday.
