McDonald’s fires employee who threw water on homeless man in viral video

DETROIT, Mich. — McDonald’s has taken action, firing the worker who was seen in a recent viral video humiliating a homeless man and then throwing water on him.

The Detroit Free Press has confirmed the employee was fired for his actions.

“I am very disturbed by the inappropriate behavior of this employee,” said McDonald’s franchisee Wise Finley. “This type of behavior is not tolerated in my organization. I expect my employees to treat everyone with dignity and respect, and this was unacceptable. This individual no longer works for my organization.”

It’s a video that has sparked a tremendous amount of outrage and had many calling for the employee’s termination with the fast-food company.

In the video, shot by someone inside the car, the employee is seen calling a man over to the drive-thru window.

He has a sandwich in his hand and continues to tell the man, Willie,  to come to the window to get the food.

After being hesitant for a few moments, the man appears in front of the camera, but it’s at that moment the employee takes a drink and tosses it in the man’s face.

The person recording does nothing but laugh.

It’s unclear whether investigators are looking into the case.

Warning this video has graphic language, racial slurs.
