BATESVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi Department of Transportation is asking for drivers to be careful of workers along several highways and roads throughout the area on April 2.
All day long, crews will be out cleaning the roads as part of the annual “Trash Bash” event.
“Each year volunteers dedicate time and engergy to provide a high-impact clean-up event in designated areas across the state,” said Transportation Commisssioner Mike Tagert. “We hope that this event inspires everyone to appreciate the beauty of our state and properly dispose of trash at all times.”
Crews will be working in Attala, Benton, Calhoun, Carrol, Coahoma, Desoto, Grenada, Lafayette, Leflore, Marshall, Montgomery, Panola, Tate and Tunica counties.
