MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Dozens of volunteers celebrated upcoming Earth Day festivities by cleaning up the Soulsville neighborhood. Saturday was just one of  several clean-up events that will be held throughout Memphis this month. It’s part of the city’s neighborhood “Taking It to the Streets” program. There will be four environmental education fairs and service learning projects for 12 area schools. Last year, the mass cleanup helped remove more than 100 tons of litter from Memphis streets.
