(Memphis)  Memphis City Schools Superintendent Kriner Cash could be leaving Memphis.

News Channel 3 has learned Cash is up for a job as Superintendent of Schools for Duval County, Florida in the Jacksonville area.

Thirty people applied for the job. Cash is one of five finalists who will now be interviewed by school leaders.

Duval County is the 15th largest school district in the country.

Cash’s contract with Memphis City Schools does not expire until next year.
