MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest announced the winners of the Championship Pork Division Saturday evening.
Ten out of forty teams who placed in the top 3 categories were from Arkansas, Tennessee or Mississippi.
The Shed BBQ from Ocean Springs, Mississippi was named Grand Champion of America’s most prestigious barbecue cooking contest winning $20,500.
They also won the Whole Hog Division and was named Grand Champion of the Memphis in May World Barbecue Cooking Contest taking home $29,000 in prize money.
