MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Uber and the Memphis International Airport have reached an agreement that would allow the driving service to immediately begin operations at the airport.
“We are excited to have reached an agreement with a service as popular as Uber,” said Scott Brockman, MSCAA President and CEO. “From day one, we have been open to doing business with Uber, primarily because our passengers have told us they want the option of utilizing ride-sharing services.”
On their end, Uber said they happy the company was able to reach an agreement, which allows customers to “know that a safe, reliable ride is just a few taps or clicks away.”
The announcement comes a month after the airport officially announced a similar agreement with another ride-sharing company, Lyft.
According to the terms of the deal, Memphis International will make $2 per pickup.
