Memphis man convicted for 2012 shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn — A Memphis man was convicted Thursday for trying to kill a man in 2012.

Memphis police say Anthony Jackson, 48, got in an argument with the victim in front of a store in Binghamton. Jackson walked away but came back with a gun.

Jackson fired the gun hitting the victim in the leg. The victim ran inside the store and Jackson followed, firing more shots.

The victim was not hit by any more bullets and is okay.

Anthony Jackson was convicted of Criminal Attempt Voluntary Manslaughter, being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Weapon and Employing a Firearm with Intent to Commit a Felony.

Jackson is being held on a $300,000 dollars bond and is scheduled to be sentenced on March 30.
