MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong honored some dedicated dads in the Bluff City Sunday.

They were recognized during a “Salute to Fatherhood Annual Father’s Day Award Dinner”.

Co-founder of Salute to Fatherhood Myron Lowery says, “really good fathers in our society are often overlooked, we just want to honor and recognize some of them.”

“Study after study has shown the positive impacts involved fathers have on their children and grandchildren.”

Fifteen area fathers were presented in several different categories, including the father of the year, grandfather of the year and community, law enforcement and political role models of the year.
