MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shelby County is seeing half as many COVID-19 cases as it did 40 days ago, health officials said Tuesday.

The county reported 89 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, for a total of 25,364. Deaths increased by six, to 334 total.

Hospital data shows 88% utilization in acute beds and 89% utilization for ICU beds. The testing positivity rate is down to 12.5%.
