MEMPHIS, Tenn– A group changing lives in the MidSouth is helping deserving young men.
The Memphis Suit Project started just a few months ago.
Four professionals, including lawyers in Memphis, hope to help young men facing unfortunate circumstances.
They saw the need to ask people to donate new or gently used suits, shirts, shoes and ties.
The suits are for high school and college students going on job interviews.
Young men who want to receive a suits are asked to perform one genuine random act of kindness for someone else.
Organizers collected more than 20 suits last year and hope to collect more than 50 this year.
“It’s a great opportunity for the. There are many kids in this community, or young men, that are extremely smart that come from different circumstances. We don’t want them to be missing out opportunities in a job interview or college interview because they simply don’t have the proper attire to wear. That’s really what we’re about,” said Justin Thomas.
