MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis woman has confessed to shooting her boyfriend nearly 15 years ago.

Jacqueline Parson-McFarlin was sentenced on Monday to 10 years in prison after she pleaded guilty to the crime last week.

According to reports, Harvey Glenn was shot multiple times back in November 2000 after the couple got into an argument at their home in the 1800 block of Nantucket.

After the murder, Parson-Mcfarlin fled to New York where she told relatives she had shot Glenn.

Those relatives reportedly called family in Memphis who later found the victim’s body.

Thirteen years later, she told cold-case detectives she shot Glenn as they struggled over the gun.

Parson-McFarlin was arrested in November 2013 at her home in Conway, Arkansas.
