MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 17-year-old was shot in the leg while walking home from school in North Memphis on Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting reportedly happened in the 1400 block of Vollintine around 4:45.
The teen was taken to Lebonheur Children’s Hospital in non-critical condition.
The suspect fled in a gray four-door sedan.
“It’s painful,” said one neighbor. “It’s very dangerous out here, you can lose your life just over anything.”
