Pilot killed in Ark. crop duster crash, Sheriff says

CROSS COUNTY, Ark. — A pilot was killed in a crop duster crash just east of Highway 75 Saturday morning, Cross County Sheriff confirms.

A 23-year-old pilot was killed after hitting wires connected to a radio tower in Parkin, according to the Cross County Sheriff.

Neighbors say it took several minutes to locate the pilot.

A day after the plane crash, the damage is very visible, from a broken propeller to the extensive smoke damage.

With this accident, this is the fourth reported plane crash of the year in the WREG viewing area, and the third to occur in Arkansas. Among the victims was Malcom King, who died. We previously spoke with his fiancé.

“He was very very sweet, very generous, very loving to everybody, and very hard working and very passionate about aviation,” Adrienne Grammer said.

The FAA confirmed to WREG that they have not received a report about the accident. It is currently unknown if the NTSB will be conducting its own investigation.
