Thousands without power in Tipton County, outage under investigation

UPDATE 12:33 p.m.:

The STEMC says that as of 9:15 a.m., they were unable to determine the issue within the Covington substation and had to begin backfeeding each of the Covington feeders.

Power has been restored at the Henning and Mason Substation. All members who get their power from the substation should be restored, according to STEMC.

They are still in the process of backfeeding the Covington Substation circuits, which STEMC says “will take some time.” The power outage map shows that there are still around 1,000 people without power.
