MILLINGTON, Tenn. — A north Shelby County man is facing serious charges after he was accused of sexually exploiting a minor and selling drugs to kids.
According to police documents, investigators first began looking into James Holiman after a woman claimed he asked her to send him nude photos and videos when she was 13 years old.
But when Shelby County Sheriff deputies went to the 55-year-old’s home outside Millington, they discovered more than they anticipated including a large amount of drugs, drug paraphernalia and numerous weapons.
When questioned about the drugs, Holiman reportedly told detectives he had heard kids were buying marijuana at the Flag Manor Apartments and saw an opportunity.
He also admitted to giving a 12-year-old inside the home marijuana so she could give it to her friend, officers said.
After an extensive search, authorities said they uncovered a batch of THC-laced brownies in the fridge, several grinders, digital scales, large amounts of suspected marijuana seeds, a clear plastic container of marijuana, six handguns, and multiple rifles and shotguns.
Three children ages one, six and 12 were in the home at the time of the arrest.
Holiman was charged with especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, contributing to the dependency of a minor, drug possession and firearm possession.
The Sheriff’s Office said so far they know of two minors Holiman preyed on and they’re looking into the possibility of more.
